Polynucleotide Skin Regeneration Treatment

What is it?

Polynucleotide treatment is one of the newest and most popular skin regeneration treatments for high level anti ageing effects and can be used to treat the face, neck, décolletage and even the hard to treat under eye area. Polynucleotide treatment uses fragments of DNA extracted from Salmon trout (which resemble our own DNA) to kick start positive changes in our skin resulting in an increase of our own production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid resulting in improved skin elasticity, hydration, minimising sun damage, scaring and improving fine lines and dark circles. The ability of this treatment to work at a cellular level gives it such a powerful regenerating ability.

Why should I have it?

With many people now looking for a more natural approach to cosmetic procedures and the desire to promote overall skin health these treatments have been becoming increasingly popular. As a stand alone treatment or alongside other procedures your skin will become regenerated, more youthful looking and importantly more healthy.

The treatment can be used to address the following:
Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
Reduce skin laxity and sagging skin
Enhancing skin hydration resulting in a plump, smoother appearance
Acne scarring
Pigmentation and sun damage
Eye contour rejuvenation, dark circles and fine lines

What does the procedure involve?

Following a consultation we will discuss with you the appropriate treatment plan to suit your needs. Local anaesthetic cream will be applied to numb the area and a series of small injections will be evenly placed over the treatment area. You can expect some discomfort from the treatment but this is short lived and “stingy” as opposed to painful.

What is the downtime?

You should allow for downtime of up to 3 days with bruising, swelling and bumpy skin during this time. It is important to note this is not an instance fix and you will not see results until your 3rd treatment with a maximum effect being at around 6 months.

What is the difference between Polynucleotides and skin boosters?

Skin boosters are effectively a big drink for the skin. The injection of hyaluronic acid aids moisture surging benefits and can help with lack lustre dull looking skin. Polynucleotide treatment changes the way your skin functions and due to the increased production of collagen, elastic and hyaluronic acid regenerates your skin making it healthier from the inside out.

Can it be used to treat tear troughs?

The research is showing that Polynucleotide treatment can significantly improve the appearances of dark circles.. This treatment can be i injected right up to the eye line as well as the eyelid and under the eyebrow giving a more natural rejuvenated look. Many people who chose this treatment no longer feel the need for tear trough fillers.

How much does it cost?

Prices are £250 or £300 per treatment depending on product type required.
A course of 3/4 treatments are required 3 weeks apart with 6 month maintenance treatments required thereafter.
