Although Botox injection is not licensed in the UK for palmar (hands) or plantar (feet) hyperhidrosis it can be performed, and we have successfully treated upper lip sweating.
The sweat glands in your arm pits are injected with Botox, a drug that has been used to treat safely other medical conditions for many years as well as it’s use for cosmetic procedures.
Following the application of an anaesthetic cream the injections of botox will be administered to the armpits. The procedure is very quick with no down time and you can expect to see results within a few days. We recommend top up procedures around 3 – 6 months, however in our experience with many patients will still see results for up to 1 year.
